2005 Alexander Valley Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon: Intense, Delicious
While dining with close friends at “56 Union”, on Nantucket, we came upon this delicious Cab. As many of us agree, the best part of a Cabernet is its flavor and longevity and although this one is not cheap (!) Alexander’s Silver Oak 2005 Cabernet will not disappoint! So delicious that I just had to share with you the winemakers tasting notes which couldn’t describe the experience any better!
Winemaker's Tasting Notes from the Silver Oak Cellars website:
Our 2005 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark ruby color and a complex nose of cassis, black plum, licorice, violets and clove. It has a rich attack, a mouth coating mid-palate and an extremely long finish with well integrated tannins. This intense and balanced wine will improve to 2032 given proper cellaring.
