The nose is flowers, tones of peach to the taste - 2007 Clay Station Viognier

My wife and I like Clay Station, Viognier 2007. We discovered this wine at over $10 a bottle. Then my wife stumbled onto it at Trader Joe’s for $3.99 (www.traderjoes.com).

The nose is flowers, tones of peach to the taste, and goes well with spicy foods like Chinese, and East Indian.

Watch the Lodi region of California for more outstanding cheap quality wines. Why? This is a region of California that is not particularly well received as a place to live, and lacks the flamboyance of Napa Valley. Therefore the price of land is not too outrageous, and labor cost is also lower than other parts of the state. Yet the soil, access to water, and sun shine work well to grow good grapes and produce excellent wines for the price.
